The Mediation Act, 2023 codifies a long-overdue framework for settled mediations in India — granting them the binding force of a decree of court when properly registered. The chamber drafts with the Act's requirements in view to ensure the settlement, once reached, is enforceable in fact and not merely in spirit.

The chamber's approach is to begin with a clear written opinion on prospects and risk, agree the strategy in writing with the client, and then execute — with regular briefings and full visibility throughout.
